The HPI XB is part of HPI’s Switch line that is a 2WD front wheel drive (FWD) electric car kit that is ready to run in which makes it easy, quick and minimum cost for anyone to get into. It comes completely ready to run with a factory- assembled chassis, painted/trimmed body with decals applied. It also come with the transmitter/ receiver and an reversible electronic speed control battery pack and AC charger. All that is required to make this car run is 8 AA batteries for the the Transmitter.
We got a chance try out one of these kits and it is the easiest RC car kits to work with. with most RC car kits there is some kind of assembly required. This kit you pretty much just took it out of the box and charged the battery and it was ready to go. You may be thinking this is just a toy since this is pre assembled but it is far from those cheap RC car you find in toy stores. Its a well made kit with quality parts. The wheel are copies of the Five AD line, and the bodies are made of durable lexan with the Five Axis lip kit on it.
To charge the battery it take about 6 hours. the charge on the batter last for over 15 minutes of play time. The speed of the car is pretty quick and handle awesome. I think it being a front wheel drive car is why it handles so good. The motor being mounted in the center of the car gives it a more be layout.

HPI Racing has a ton of aftermarket parts to make the RC XB handle and look better from shocks, sway bars, wheels, tires to batteries. You can even change up the bodies to make it a different car. IF you break a part they also have replacement parts for it.
The kit is exclusive only though Scion as well as the body. But the only way to get the body is to buy the whole kit. The kits come in three colors and frequencies. The three colors are OEM Scion colors Super white, Classic Silver Metallic and Gold Rush Mica. The price tag in these XB are MSRP $199.99
