Nippon O Sukuou “Lets Help Japan” the meaning truly means that Hawaii’s Automotive Community can come together as one to help Japan. As we know a lot of people have ties to Japan and Japan also plays a huge roll in Hawaii’s economy. This tragedy affects us in Hawaii in one way or another.

For the Helluva Rides staff, after getting to visit Japan for the first time earlier this year. you would never think a nation would be so affected in a huge way. You gain so much respect for the Japanese people and culture as they are the most humble people. Just watching the events unfold live on TV we all couldn't believe what we were all watching. Truly amazing and very sad!

On Sunday April 17, 2011 it all came together as 2 events unfolded, one on Maui and one event on Oahu. The Automotive Community raised $5,201.00 exceeding our goal of raising 5000.00 and all this was raised in a matter of 5 hours. HUGE THANKS goes to our event sponsor Montgomery Motors for making a huge donation of $2000.00.

A total of over 200 rides total from Maui and Honolulu participated in the event.

The event was put on to help the Red Cross raise money for victims of the earthquake and tsunami victims of Japan. With about a months time to plan and organize the event we all pulled it off and thank good for Facebook. Car enthusiast of all shorts came together, Classics, Hot Rods, Mustangs, Chevys, Dodges, Hondas, Toyotas, Lexus, VW’s, Bikes and even Radio Controlled Cars, you name it as long as it had wheels it was at Helluva Rides Nippon O Sukuou Kokua for Japan.
