Better late than never! The day of the launching of www.helluvarides.com we had a chance to do a 24 hr. trip to LA. To attend the Scion Evolution and Five Axis “REVUE” show at Five Axis in Huntington Beach.
It was a cool grass roots style of show that was also a charity event for the JDRF “Juvenile Research Foundation” the same organization that the Helluva Rides Showdown III is hosting in October 31.
Cars from as far as San Diego made the trip to the show, with all sorts of type of fresh rides. Shops such as Auto Fashion of San Diego were also on hand. Also Easy Street, coming all the way from Detroit and Forjworks coming from Hawaii. Also on hand were OEM Audio, Greedy, ARC, Scion Corp, Optimize, Island Motor Sports, BOWLS and VIP Modular.
The very popular KOGI wagon and what they call the knock off Shrimp Truck called the Shrimp Guys was on hand also serving some fresh ono grinds. We actually waited in line for over an hour a KOGI Korean style Taco. IMO not my taste of food and would rather have had a local plate lunch or In and Out Burger.
Five Axis had an open house of there shop in which everyone actually got to see inside of huge facility where many of those highly tricked out scions came to life, such as there newest creations the second version of its world famous DJ XB using a second gen. XB. They had all there cars also on display that featured Scions, Lexus and Toyota.
Also what cuaght our eyes were the ever popular RUCKUS! They all gathered in the center round about with BOWLS righ smack in the center of the show. I must say there are some sick one up in Cali.
We would like to thank the guys of Scion Evolution and Auto Fashion for being host to us.
