When you think of VIP style in the USA. Garson DAD is one of the brands that everyone relates to VIP when VIP first came to the USA. There mainly known for there Black Vans and Wagons. Many still rock there curtains till today. Many Scion owners were all over there curtains. But Garson is also known for being the KING OF BLING! Just look at there benz in our feature and you’ll understand why. You either have to be smoking batu “Ice” or just very dedicated to just sit in front of a car for days glueing over a million crystals on a Benz. Garson has also set new trends and always has items that make you sat WTF that is nuts. when you go to a major car show in Japan, Garson always has the largest booth and the most crowded booth with many Japanese people buying there products. They don't only sell car parts, they also have there own line of clothing and hand bags that are very popular in Japan.

Money Mint

At every show we attend, Helluva Rides always has a favorite ride of the show. At Hella Flush Hawaii 2012 there was one ride that caught out attention. The build was pretty simple but to the point and most of all different. We didn’t know who car it was but it wasn’t that hard finding out who the owner was thanks to FaceBook!

Ronsyn Barrett is the owner of this Tiffany Blue 1994 EG Civic Hatch back. If you look at the Tiffany blue really well you can see some gold pearl in between the base and the clear coat. The color of this Civic just stands out and just plain sexy in which all the go nuts over it as Tiffany comes to there minds. The color just brings back memories 20 years ago when Mini trucks ruled the streets and my best friend had his Toyota truck painted Tiffany blue long before Tiffany existed in Hawaii. But we are noticing this Tiffany blue color becoming very popular these days.

Hella Flush Hawaii 2012

When Fatlace Hella Flush comes to Hawaii there is never any need for big time advertising and promotions, People just hear about it through social media and they come in the thousands and even as far as Japan.

Hella Flush Hawaii 2012 was back for a third year in a row on April 14 this year The past 2 years it was held in Feb a time when the weather is really unpredictable. This year Hella Flush Hawaii was held at the same location as WekFest at the Ward Villages parking structure in the nice cool shade. Ever since Helluva Rides had there first shows there at Ward Centers 3 years ago it has become a well known location for hosting car shows.

Osaka Auto Messe 2012 "Catching A Drift"

In this segment on the Osaka Auto Messe 2012, smoking tires, sliding sideways and high speeds. Do you catch my Drift and where we are going on this post?

We walked into the second hall of the event and all you see is race cars and what type if racing is affiliated JDM land? DRIFTING!! Drifting what began in Japan is now world wide and very popular in the USA as we see many event in the USA just dedicated to drifting.

Osaka Auto Messe 2012 "VIP STYLE"

K-Break was our favorite, they really stepped out of the box and is always doing something other than the rest! This orange convertible Lexus GS was one Helluva Sick Ride!

Time for some VIP! VERY IMPORTANT PICS! ...

Osaka Auto Messe 2012 wouldn't be complete with out a hall just dedicated to the VIP style. The VIP Style has evolved in the past few years. As we saw Japan has taken VIP up to another level and setting the bars even higher for those that envy the style. Things we noticed were use of other exotic colors other than the normal black, silver and white. Even the body kits have taken a huge drastic design change as many have seen body kit go more in the wild direction as far as contours and design goes. Interiors have also taken a huge step forward.

Osaka Auto Messe 2012 "Toyota Prius"

When strolling the streets of Osaka Japan, we took notice to how popular the Toyota Prius is in Japan. At every red light we saw at least one Prius stopped at the traffic light at one point a whole line of Prius.

When we first walked into Hall 2 this was the first car we come across! Prius V Wagon done by Affection

When we walked into the Osaka Auto Mese of the first cars we come across is a Prius V Wagon. Never saw one of these modified in the USA. The only one Toyota Prius that we know of in the USA is our friend Rodney Esetbans Prius thats rocking the full Five AD package and Air Runner Suspension

At the Auto Messe the Toyota Prius V wagon was a Hybrid that most shops had. The popularity with these Hybrids in Japan is amazing. There are a wide variety of body kits, Grills and accessories for any Prius enthusiast to choose from.

Osaka Auto Messe 2012 "LOWRIDER"

We all know your waiting for all the Hot Import car photos to surface on Helluva Rides. But before we do that we have to post our show favorite up first!

When you think of Japan and cars you alway think of JDM import tuners. Not so the case with what we came across at the Osaka Auto Messe 2012. There is alway our favorite ride of the show and we thought it would have been a Import because we were in Japan but we couldn't pass up this American Classic 1959 Impala SS.

As we all know the American influence is a big thing in Japan, back in the days when the low riding movement was in full swing in the USA. Japan had also caught the Lowriding fever and was importing a lot of the big name Lowriders from the USA as well as having there own version of Lowrider Magazine just dedicated to Lowriding in Japan. Many of you OGs remember REDS Hydraulics also had branched out to Japan because of the huge demand for Lowrider Hydraulics, since than REDs has become to be known as Advanced Car Culture or ACC Air Runner.

As you walk the streets of Japan you notice a lot of K Cars, Vans and Imports, you will rarely find an American Classic. When we came across the ARTIS booth from last year when we came across some amazing workmanship in there crazy detailed paint jobs and crazy builds.

Osaka Auto Mese 2012 "The RECAP"

The 10 hour flight to Osaka Japan was well worth it. Even though our bags got lost and our vendor passes was in the same bags that were lost. We didn’t get to go in on Friday before the huge crowd on weekend came. We did manage to get all of our followers the coverage of the 2012 Osaka Auto Messe. It wasn’t easy getting photos and not having someone walk right in front while taking a photo, we did manage to take ton of photos.

The DAD booth was the most crowded booth of the whole show.

It was just amazing on how large this show was as it was divided up into 6 separate halls all featuring different types and styles of cars.

Here is a quick sneak peak of what we saw at the Osaka Auto Messe 2012 that went down on February 11 and 12.. We will be breaking down the features into sections because of the amount of cars we have photos of.

Osaka Auto Mese 2012 "The Adventure Begins""

Last year the Helluva Rides staff went to Tokyo Japan to cover its first international show coverage and brought to you Japans largest car show event for the year, Tokyo Auto Salon 2011. It was our first time to Japan and we had allot to take in and learn about Japan, from getting around with no automobile and using Japan awesome rail system. We also had to tackle not knowing the Japanese language.

For 2012 we decided to head to Osaka Japan a city that south of Tokyo. From our first experience with Tokyo last year, it made our trip to Osaka easier knowing what to expect as far as trains and getting from point A to point B. We thought the Osaka rail system was way easier to use that Tokyo’s rail system.

So what is better to do in Osaka other than eat! We must have ate almost everything Osaka had to offer. What we did noticed was there was allot more food and shopping. Takoyaki seemed to be a favorite there in Osaka. Fugu (Puffer Fish) you could find at many restaurants. Fugu if not prepared right can cost you your life but it seemed like the chiefs were very experienced in preparing it the right way as you could find it all over Osaka. One thing that will never be the same for us is the Sushi and Steak. What is trip going to Osaka without eating Kobe Steak and Raw fish, after tasting the Steak and Sushi it will never be the same back home.
